Theresa Moore
Tax Specialist I have worked in the accounting and tax field for 46 years and worked for Christina at Yakima Tax Service for the last 8 years as a Tax Specialist. I have also trained and worked at H&R Block before coming to Yakima Tax Service and I have a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. The owner, Christina, is my daughter. After working for attorneys, WA State, and Comprehensive Healthcare as an accountant, it is nice to be able to work with my daughter and other family members.

Owner/Tax Accountant I have been in the accounting field for over 21 years. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Washington University in 2009 and an Executive Master of Taxation from Florida Atlantic University in 2017. I renew my (PTIN) Paid Tax Preparer Identification Number and Annual Filing Season Program Participant requirements every year with the IRS. I passed the 1st test to become an Enrolled Agent in December and will be taking the final 2 in summer 2026. I was an employee of Yakima Tax Service from 2013 to 2017 and then on January 1st, 2018, took over Yakima Tax Service when the previous owner retired. I really enjoy building and expanding on the lifelong relationships we have with our clients. I also really like working with numbers and finding solutions to problems that are difficult for many to find. We pride ourselves on treating our clients like family, while offering excellent, knowledgeable, and ethical service at a fair cost to you. My business and personal life go hand in hand during tax season. I have a very supportive family and I spend as much time as I can with them between May and December because January through April is 24/7 work time for me. I am married to my best friend, and we have been together for 27 years. We have a 23-year-old son named Carl, who works at a local fruit warehouse doing Refrigeration Maintenance and Quality Control Manager. He bought a house with his girlfriend, Sarah, 3 years ago and we are very proud of both of them! Sarah became a Realtor at the end of 2024, so, if your interested in buying or selling a home she is a great asset and can definitely help! We love hanging out and spending time together as a family. We also love to attend concerts together when time and our schedules allow. Sarah is working with us again this year as our receptionist and back up data entry. I also have the privilege of working with my mom, Theresa Moore every day during tax season and many days outside of tax season. She is an integral part of our business, and I love getting to come to work with her. We have a new employee, Brandi that is working for us part time this year as well. I am very blessed to come to work surrounded by family and friends!
