Marcy Hinsey

EA

Marcy graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. In 2004 Marcy joined the Balanced Accounting & Tax Services staff as a part time tax preparer. In 2005 she became a full time employee that not only processed tax returns but she was also processing bookkeeping and payrolls. In November 2007 she passed the IRS EA exam and became certified to be an Enrolled Agent. In January 2024 Marcy purchased Balanced Accounting & Tax Services from Judith. Marcy has been married to her best friend since 2001 and is the the proud mother of two teenage daughters. She spends a good portion of her summer at a local campground relaxing and reading.

Pam Closson

Pam joined the Balanced Accounting & Tax Services staff in 2012. She processes weekly payroll as well as monthly bookkeeping. You will find her chatting at the front desk with clients on a regular basis. She loves her dogs, bowling, football and considers everyone family. We find that many clients are her “cousins”, she is very friendly and outgoing.

Grace Hinsey

Grace joined the Balanced Accounting & Tax Services staff in 2018. She has worked through the ranks first starting out putting together tax return files after school, then she started doing data entry and is now processing payroll, clearing bank statements and taking an income tax course. She graduated from Southwestern Michigan College in December 2022 with an Associates in General Studies. In the fall of 2023 Grace took a tax class to learn the basics of tax. During the 2024 tax season she reviewed and printed tax returns for Marcy and Judith. She is shy at first but once you get her going she has an amazing sense of humor, a sarcastic streak a mile wide and a huge love of cats.
