Jeffery is a native Washingtonian (born in Eastern Washington) and raised in Bellevue, WA. He graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, WA in 1978 with a BA in Business (Accounting emphasis) and a minor in Economics.After graduation, he was employed by a small corporation and a few small tax/accounting firms for 3 years until establishing his own practice in February of 1982.Providing both accounting and tax services, he finally identified his niche as income taxes.In August 1992, after studying all summer, he passed the 2 day Enrolled Agent’s examination implemented by the Internal Revenue Service. Passing all 4 parts the first time (a rare accomplishment), he began practicing as an Enrolled Agent in early 1993, representing his clients before the IRS, all the way up to the Federal Tax Court.Having worked out of his home until 1991, he established his practice in Renton, near Benson Highway and Petrovitsky Road. With the aid of an A-Board sign, local newspapers and yellow page advertising, he was able to build up his client base and hire his first employees. In 1996, the company moved into the Evergreen Building where they have been ever since.He enjoys reading U.S. History and non-fiction, discussing or participating in politics, outdoor activities (gardening and walking) and family gatherings.He and his wife enjoy church and the fellowship that comes with that, family times and cooking together. They share four children and open their home to them and their friends for barbeques, movies, or Wii bowling.In the future they hope to travel more, worry less, and laugh more.
